I guess I can no longer use that old excuse I just had a baby. Jacob is 17 months old. It is time. I have put it off long enough. I am not having anymore babies. Those nagging 10 (ish) extra pounds that have invaded my body and refuse to leave need to be dealt with. I am not sure if it is my age or what, but I can't seem to drop them. Here is the problem. I hate to exercise. You know how everyone says "Once you get started, you will love it! You just haven't given it enough time!" Not so much... The second problem is I love to eat. Since I am a stay at home mom, I find myself snacking terribly during the day. I also allow myself "treats" when I have had a rough day. Thirdly, when? When is there time to exericse or plan/grocery shop/learn to cook low calorie meals (that the kids will eat)?
So, what to do? I guess I can ask Santa for my 20 year old metabolism back. Or I could try to walk tomorrow.
I guess I will worry about it tomorrow. There is an Oreo calling my name..... :)

Here's an idea: ever thought of training for an event so you HAVE to exercise? That's what I did about 7 years ago. (The goal is to participate, not to win.) I PAID to run a 5k and trained for a few months to do it. Once I did it, I wanted to do it again. So I registered and PAID for another event. Now, 7 years later, I'm running my first marathon. Find something that you might enjoy like biking or running/walking. They normally are associated with some sort of charity, which adds to motivation. It's a thought...
ReplyDeleteI am in the same boat girl! I need to lose about 15 pounds but it is so hard! You would think chasing around two little ones everyday I would be skinny as a rail! For a while I was doing sparkpeople.com. It is a free site where you can log in all you eat everyday and it tells you where you need to cut food out. I actually lost inches but it got so time consuming that I couldn't keep up with logging all my food. I need to try it again because it did help......just hard to find time to log the food when you have a toddler hanging on your leg. LOL. :-) I have to add I think you look great! I have always considered you a beautiful lady!
